Taormina

This hilltop town offers some of the most astounding scenery in all of Sicily. Right where the famous Greek-Roman Theatre is situated, there is nothing more beautiful and romantic than to watch the breath-taking view of Mt. Etna and the Ionian Sea. The charming streets and alleys will put you right in the kind of setting where Liz Taylor was courted by Richard Burton.

The Aeolian Islands

Go sunset-cruising around the Aeolian Islands as you pop open a bottle of wine or chilled spumante to celebrate your love for each other. The rugged but pristine beauty will take your breath away. You can also take dips in the sea, fish, snorkel, or watch dolphins frolic on the waters. Stop by Stromboli to see where Ingrid Bergman and Roberto Rossellini fell madly in love. Plus, don’t forget to watch the Sciara del Fuoco when possible.

Mt. Etna

For those who are into more adventurous activities, climbing up Mt. Etna can be a romantic as well as an exciting activity. As you leap over lava beds and peer into the craters, you can feel the thrill of this unique adventure especially when shared with a special someone. Start out in the early morning so you can witness from the top the glorious sunrise as it breaks over the horizon. It will be one very unforgettable getaway!

Syracuse

To walk along age-old streets and visit the many cultural and historical sites in Syracuse, arm-in-arm with your love one, is indeed a fun and memorable vacation. Don’t skip out on the very romantic Island of Ortygia where color and rhythm is an everyday happening. Walk past Greek temples, limestone Baroque buildings, medieval houses, and pastry shops teeming with wonderful Sicilian delicacies such as cannoli.

Modica

It is common to give chocolates on Valentine’s Day or any other romantic day to your partner, so why not go right to the Sicilian chocolate town of Modica? You can enjoy the many flavours as you go around town with its Baroque churches and architecture to make your visit even more enjoyable.

Very beautiful places were selected. Recently, I’ve been to Catania, a city not far from Mount Etna. Such an amazing city that survived many destruction. The sceneries are unforgettable.
