For the last month I haven’t been travelling, but instead have had a rather more relaxing adventure with the arrival of my Leesa mattress. After Leesa contacted me, the mattress was delivered in a small cardboard box (no issue getting it up the stairs) and I quickly unboxed it to replace my old double mattress, which was six years old.
While there was nothing particularly wrong with my old mattress, it did feel time for a change and the technology used in the design of the Leesa mattress definitely made it a significant upgrade.
What makes a Leesa mattress?
Each Leesa mattress has a unique design with three layers of performance foam, meaning it’s comfortable no matter how you sleep and supports you on your front, side and back.
You can also use it with a 100-night risk-free trial, so no buyer’s remorse if it isn’t exactly what you’re looking for. Although, having used it for a month, I’m sure that’s rare!
The first elements I noticed when it had been unrolled and expanded to fit snuggly on my bed frame, were the famous four white stripes and it’s softness. Keen to get a sense of how it would be to sleep on, after an hour I tried out the mattress without any bedding and was pleased to feel that it was both soft and firm.
As I lay on it and got comfortable, the foam layers subtly but effectively moulded to my form and it was like sitting on air – almost like it wasn’t even there. At this point I just smiled as with my last mattress I’d tried out numerous models in-stores and it had been a time consuming decision, but here, a well-designed mattress had just turned up without any effort on my part!
Cool and cosy
In the last month I’ve found that it’s also quite a cosy mattress and has been a relaxing spot to read on a Sunday and, of course, take a nap!
Probably my favourite aspect, which has been much appreciated during the recent heatwave, is that it’s cooling design has meant the nights haven’t been too warm. In the past this has meant a bad night’s sleep, so it’s been a positive change since switching mattresses.
- Very convenient – order online and delivered to your door
- Easy to unpack with very intuitive instructions
- Ready to use after an hour when it’s unrolled
- Moulds to your shape and comfortable however you sleep
Aside from the quality of the mattress, it’s great to know that Leesa donate one mattress for every 10 sold to charitable causes, so when you buy, you’re contributing to their giving back process.
- I don’t have one for my spare room!
My sleeping routine has stayed consistent since I’ve been using this mattress and I’ve had no problems drifting off. It really is very comfortable and has achieved that difficult balance between being soft and firm.
After reading all the positive reviews online, I wholeheartedly agree and would definitely give it a five star rating. After one month, I can’t fault it and don’t regret getting rid of my old mattress, which was bulkier and offered less support.
