This morning the weather had taken a downturn and gone cloudy, yet it was still warm and there was lots more to see. During the complimentary breakfast at the hotel’s waterside, I felt so relaxed it was unreal. The view which yesterday had been bright and bathed in sunshine, still held it’s own against the elements and proved you don’t need good weather to enjoy the view.View Post

My first day was a fantastic start. The flight was quicker than expected with amazing views of the fjords on descent, and before I knew it, I was stood in the fish market of Bergen after a very hot coach ride from the airport (the air con was broken in 28C heat!). The appetising smell was very welcoming and as I did a 360 degree turn, the greenery was stunning.View Post
As I sit here now during the heatwave bracing the UK, I’m enjoying putting my feet up for the final time this summer, at least at home. Last days in the UK The last couple of weeks have been a blur of goodbyes, birthday wishes (25 again) packing, sorting and ensuring I’ve done everything I need to before setting off; this includes making sure what I leave behind is well organised for when I get back. Perhaps I shouldn’t be thinking about coming back but I’m intent on returning to normality as smoothly as possible on my return.View Post
In my search for an affordable travel laptop, I found the ASUS C300MA Chromebook, which I’ve been using for a couple of weeks before I set off. My main draw was the price, at only £179.99 (since I purchased this laptop, it’s price has gone up to £225.00 on Amazon) it’s very affordable, but after using it, the build and battery life are actually what set it apart from other Chromebooks of similar retail value.View Post
*Updated 2018. Back in 2015 I quit my job, said goodbye to my family and friends and sorted out my definitive interrail packing list. This was all in preparation for two months interrailing across Europe as a single female traveller. This packing list is based on my own experiences and I can honestly say it worked for me when I was both planning my trip and whilst I was travelling.View Post
